3 Oceans That Have Been On TV

Here they are! Three oceans that have appeared on television!

1. The Indian Ocean

That’s right, the Indian Ocean has been on TV. Next time you’re watching M*A*S*H season nine, episode 10, “Operation Friendship,” keep your eyes peeled for a large body of water. That, friends, is the Indian Ocean in all its televised glory.

2. The Pacific Ocean

Yeah, baby! The Pacific Ocean is an ocean that has been on TV! A nice-sized portion of the Pacific Ocean was shown on episode 32 of Gilligan’s Island, “Physical Fatness.” Not only did Gilligan point to it to be sure that viewers would see it, but the first season was also originally shot in black and white and later colorized, meaning that viewers could take a look at the Pacific’s famous blue color. Pretty. Freaking. Amazing.

3. The Arctic Ocean

Think those are all of the oceans that have been on TV? No way. There was also a third one. The Arctic Ocean showed up during an episode of BBC Two’s documentary series Oceans in an episode titled “The Arctic Ocean.” Photos of it, film footage of it, maps of it, even people saying “Arctic Ocean” out loud. It was on there, right there on TV for all to see.
